Founded in 1975 by a group of volunteers providing patient rehabilitation services on the grounds of Westborough State Hospital, Advocates is now one of the largest human services organizations in the state. Advocates’ Adult Foster Care (AFC) program provides medical and case management services to approximately 450 members living with trained caregivers in community-based settings throughout Central and Eastern Massachusetts. The Program Director – AFC is responsible for the successful administration and management of the clinical, budgetary, and business operations of the program. Reporting to the Director of Shared Living and AFC, the Program Director will directly supervise 4-6 individuals and provide leadership, guidance, and support to the broader team of approximately 25 staff.
This role provides the opportunity for a strong program leader to work with a highly committed and diverse team on a growing program. The successful Program Director – AFC will offer experience in managing programs with complex regulatory requirements and a positive leadership style.
