|Jewish Big Brothers Big Sister of Greater Boston|
Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters, one of the nation’s oldest mentoring organizations, transforms lives through friendship. We match children to adult mentors and we introduce adults who have disabilities to new friends in their communities. In this way, and in the spirit of chazak v’nithazaik (strengthening one another), we seek to support and empower individuals and families to engage, to participate actively in the life of their communities, to live inspired and to inspire others. History and Current Context
Founded in 1919 to support Jewish immigrant boys, Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters has grown to serve more than 300 boys and girls, Jewish and non-Jewish, annually, from more than 90 towns across Massachusetts, as well as almost 200 adults in the Friend 2 Friend program, which matches volunteers with adults who have mild to moderate disabilities. A leader in the mentoring movement locally, nationally, and internationally, we were a founding member of the national Big Brothers Big Sisters movement and are among 400 independent BBBS program in the US. In addition, JBBBS has supported mentoring relationships in Haifa, Israel and Dnepropetovsk, Ukraine through our sister-city initiatives. Throughout the growth and evolution of the organization, our commitment to the values of family and community sustain us.
Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters is at a critical moment in our history, as our CEO steps down after more than 20 years of dedicated service. Building on a strong base of community and donor support and outstanding programmatic results, we seek a new Chief Executive Officer to collaborate with the Board of Directors and agency leadership to create a vision and strategy for the future, ensure the resources necessary to implement that vision, and build and inspire the dedicated staff in working together to achieve common goals.

With primary responsibility for overall organizational leadership and management, the CEO will play a key role in developing the organizational strategy and vision, working in close partnership with the Board, staff, and community stakeholders. In order to execute towards that strategy on a daily basis, the CEO will focus on external relations, fundraising, and internal management and leadership.
